Dec Service: Operation Christmas Child (Dec 15)

Join your Charlotte Carolina Club for a service event at the Operation Christmas Child processing center.  The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide shoe-boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies to children outside of the U.S. affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine and disease, and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.  We will be handling various tasks such as inspecting the items in the shoe-boxes and preparing the shoe-boxes for overseas shipment.  Millions of shoe-boxes are collected during the third week of November every year, and are then processed by volunteers at centers across the U.S.  Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, which is an international relief organization headquartered in Boone, NC.  Children over the age of 13 are welcome.

We will be serving Operation Christmas Child in both Nov and Dec.
