Loaves & Fishes (648-B Griffith Road) is partnering with Sugar Creek Brewery to host a volunteer event in the warehouse on Thursday Sept 13, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, followed by a social event at Sugar Creek Brewery. Sugar Creek will donate $1.00 of each beer purchase to Loaves & Fishes.
We will start the evening at the Loaves & Fishes warehouse inspecting and sorting donated food items in the warehouse. Loaves & Fishes is a nonprofit emergency food pantry program which provides a week’s worth of nutritionally balanced groceries to individuals and families in a short-term crisis through a network of 20 pantries throughout Mecklenburg County. In 2016 Loaves & Fishes served over 67,000 people, 48% of which were children.
When we’re done at Loaves & Fishes, we’ll head over to Sugar Creek Brewery (215 Southside Dr.) for some fellowship and fun!
